Nuzzled in between the Enko River and the mountains North of Hiroshima Station lays Ushita. Populated by primarily families, Ushita is a lively yet family oriented neighborhood with really good school systems. Some families even choose Ushita just so their kids can be enrolled in the highly reputed elementary schools. Ushita has the added benefit of being located relatively close to downtown as well as Hiroshima Station! For those who choose to travel by bike, it is just a 10 to 15 minute ride along the beautiful river.

Some places we like in Ushita:

Big wave

Big wave is an Ushita based sports center with a ton to do! They have the facilities to play a huge variety of sports and includes an Olympic-sized swimming pool. Cherry on top, every winter, the Olympic-sized pool is converted into an ice rink where everything from ice-skating lessons to curling can be enjoyed by people of all ages.

Hiroshima Jogakuin University

Hiroshima Jogakuin University has been around since 1886 and is still here today after enduring astronomical adversity. The Campus is located in the hills and adds to the atmosphere.

Astram line

The Astram Line access makes Ushita an extremely convenient place to live. With trains coming around every 10 minutes, commuting downtown is a breeze. For all the soccer fans out there, the Astram Line is also a straight shot to Koiki Stadium, home to Sanfrecce Hiroshima, the Hiroshima soccer club!

For those looking to move in the Ushita area, here is a place we like!
