Ho Ho Ho, Merry Christmas!
Ryowa House Real Estate has been helping foreigners since 2016 with native staff. This year was as impactful as 2016 in the fact that many new things were in motion and hundreds of foreigners were helped into new homes here in Japan!
Our international team of 5 increased to 6 with the joining of George Lauer whose father is from the USA and mother from Japan. His mastery of Japanese and English and over 14 years in both countries made him an unmistakable addition to our team. Our team not only helps foreign residents find homes in Japanese and English, but also can accommodate needs for Chinese, Vietnamese and Spanish speakers.
In 2019, our team helped over 350 non-Japanese residence look for a new home away from home. Just 4 years ago that number was barely 50 and the reason for that was we had no native staff that could help customers in their native language as well as the tight restrictions on foreigners living overseas. In most cases, companies or schools would have to have the foreign resident live in a dormitory or company rented building. There was very little independence.
But things have changed and freedoms are increasing thanks to the understanding of owners and the system becoming more flexible. It’s not perfect but things are in motion.
All to say, to all of you foreign residents in Japan, you are a representative of all of us. Owners who have foreign residents who follow the tedious trash separation rules and cooperate with other regulations are an example to other owners getting their first application from a foreigner! Until the laws change this is the best way we can help declare independence for all foreigners.
Our staff is working hard to make bilingual documents and make the process as smooth and as least stressful as possible in a country where everything is so different than what we are used to doing.
Onward to 2020, where IT takes over!!
Virtual Reality room searches!
Online Applications!
More properties available for foreigners!
Lower initial starting fees!
These are all things we are striving for!
Take a look at our other articles, videos and guides on how to live in Japan and enjoy this crazy life we live together, and have a happy last week of 2019~!
